A multiple East Coast Music Award and Canadian Folk Music Award winner\, Gunning is celebrated for his warm stage presence\, razor-sharp wit\, and songs that honour everyday heroes while tackling hard truths. \nHis music has long reflected his deep roots in Pictou County\, where stories of working people\, small-town struggles\, and local pride shape his songwriting. Whether he’s shining a light on unsung community champions or confronting social and environmental issues close to home\, Gunning brings an honesty and empathy to his work that have become his trademark. \nKnown for his ability to connect with audiences through both laughter and reflection\, Gunning’s live shows balance heartfelt storytelling with moments of perfectly timed humour. His rapport with listeners—equal parts genuine\, self-effacing\, and deeply human—has made him a beloved fixture on stages across Canada and beyond. \nOver the years\, Gunning has shared the stage with folk greats like Ron Hynes\, Rita MacNeil\, and Matt Andersen\, yet he continues to carve his own path\, grounded in the values of community and craftsmanship. \nIn June 2025\, Gunning travelled to Point Lonsdale\, Australia\, to record his fifteenth studio album\, Field Notes\, set for release in 2026. Stripped-back and emotionally rich\, the new collection returns to the heart of what he does best: telling stories that remind us who we are\, where we come from\, and what matters most. \n \n  \nhttps://youtu.be/qLQfAYzQvcQ?si=Bsm9OykI5wEoyELf[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Our Bar will be open to enjoy a glass of wine or beer.\nBeth Lenco is a Nova Scotia born (1970) visual artist working in two dimensional media: watercolour\, acrylic\, oil\, collage\, and drawing mediums on paper\, canvas and wood. Educated at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design\, and the Art College of Kewlona\, Beth continues a daily studio practice. There is a quality of directness to Beth’s art\, bold strokes\, bright colours\, firm line\, but also a soft subtlety of light and atmosphere. This meeting of strong and subtle creates a conversation between elements; a dialogue between our inner and outer worlds. Beth is also a practitioner of yoga\, shamanism\, and nature meditation which influence her art making and subject material. Responding to what makes her feel most alive\, flowers\, abstracts\, and ocean landscapes always appear in her work.Beth’s stunning artwork will be on display in our Lower Gallery from November 29th to December 23rd.\n\n[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”3084″ img_size=”full” css=””][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”3088″ img_size=”full” css=””][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”3706″ img_size=”full” css=””][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Co-produced by Colin Linden\, guest artists include Americana icon Lucinda Williams\, bassist Darryl Jones and drummer Charley Drayton (who have backed Miles Davis and The Rolling Stones) plus American harmonica ace Charlie Musselwhite and gospel greats Ann and Regina McCrary. For over 35 years\, Colin has been a consummate professional\, a superb guitarist\, and a musician’s musician. The confidence that comes with maturity can be heard in his voice and seen in his electrifying stage performance. He does what comes naturally – he always has – he knows no other way and no other life. Recently celebrating his 60th birthday\, he still finds joy in making music and touring and loves what he does. \n\n\n\n[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row]
