The storied Astor Theatre, one of only two independent movie houses in Nova Scotia, features the latest cinema technology. Built in 1902, the theatre provides a beautiful, classic venue for watching movies, from the main floor or balcony.

Sensory Friendly Saturdays
We offer Sensory Friendly Saturday movie screenings every Saturday when we are showing a movie. Sensory Friendly screenings are at 11 a.m. and show the regular movie with the volume a little lower and the house lights slightly on for people who find the traditional movie experience overwhelming. They are very relaxed screenings where moving around and making some noise are just fine.
