The Art of Beth Lenco

Beth Lenco is a Nova Scotia born (1970) visual artist working in two dimensional media: watercolour, acrylic, oil, collage, and drawing mediums on paper, canvas and wood. Educated at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, and the Art College of Kewlona, Beth continues a daily studio practice. There is a quality of directness to Beth’s art, bold strokes, bright colours, firm line, but also a soft subtlety of light and atmosphere. This meeting of strong and subtle creates a conversation between elements; a dialogue between our inner and outer worlds. Beth is also a practitioner of yoga, shamanism, and nature meditation which influence her art making and subject material. Responding to what makes her feel most alive, flowers, abstracts, and ocean landscapes always appear in her work.
Beth’s stunning artwork will be on display in our Lower Gallery from November 29th to December 23rd.
