    In celebration of 30 years of Queens County, The Stanfields are coming to the Astor Stage! The Stanfields are a multiple award-winning six-piece Folk'n'Roll band based in Halifax, Canada.     Calling all kids aged 7 to 13!

    Have you ever wanted to make your own animated movies?

    Stop-Motion Club started in 2024 by Desmond Smyth, a local high school student who had an interest in Stop-Motion when he was younger and wanted to teach the younger generation about this animation form.

    Our club has expanded, not only teaching stop-motion animation but 2D frame-by-frame hand-drawn-style animation, green screen animation, and frame-by-frame pivot-stick-figure-style techniques all using your cellphone or tablet.

    Filmmaking Club was started by Kyle Smyth in 2024.  We were very excited to have Dan Williams join us soon afterwards.  Our club members make original short films and take their projects from screenwriting, editing, production planning, cinematography, directing, and editing to get them to the final product.

    Twenty Years of the Met in Cinemas is a celebration of the Met’s two decades of onstage glory as experienced in movie theatres, featuring highlights from the company’s collection of more than 185 extraordinary onscreen performances.

    Hosted by star soprano Renée Fleming, this special presentation will showcase unforgettable moments from some of opera’s greatest stars, culled from the series’ vast archive of transmissions, featuring such remarkable artists as Lise Davidsen, Natalie Dessay, Joyce DiDonato, Elīna Garanča, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Jonas Kaufmann, Peter Mattei, Matthew Polenzani, Nadine Sierra, and, of course, Fleming herself.

    The opening reception for this show will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at 6:30 pm.  This is your first opportunity to view this beautiful show and meet the artists.

    Established in 1949, the Milton Canoe and Camera Club has been inspiring photographers throughout Milton and Queens County for decades. This exhibition showcases the creativity, curiosity, and unique perspectives of club members as they capture moments from the world around them.

    A modern indie folk trio from Newfoundland, The Once have collected a trio of Canadian Folk Music Awards, numerous ECMA awards, and was named Artist of the Year by the Newfoundland & Labrador Arts Council. They have earned not one, but two JUNO nominations for Roots Album of the Year and continue to take their music around the world.

  • Stamped Heart Pendant Workshop with Chris DeWolf
