From October 14-18, 2026, the Liverpool International Theatre Festival will showcase 10 curated one-act plays performed by visiting theatre troupes from around the world.
eniors Creating is a brand new Astor Academy program for seniors. We will be offering free art workshops with professional artists to allow seniors to engage in the arts while connecting with other seniors in our community. Each month we will have a new workshop series.
Art supplies, tea, coffee and snacks will be provided.
We are excited to be starting off with a 4 week painting session with Beth Lenco.

John will be joined by Halifax comedian Dan Mitchelmore, one of the rising young voices in Nova Scotia's comedy scene. Dan has been performing stand-up across the city and province for the past two years. He's known for his approachable style, crowd engagement, and ability to create a fun atmosphere wherever he perform
John will also be using a special Guitar during the show which will be donated to Guitars for Vets after the tour. We welcome Vets and Family members to sign the guitar case or place a card in it with a special message for the Vet that will receive it.

Life Drawing was started by Roger Savage. Weekly studio sessions provide the opportunity for lay and professional visual artists of our region to practice and improve their drawing and observation skills. Participants are from communities along the South Shore. This program costs $20 per session to provide payment to the models used in the drawing sessions.
