Astor Academy

Our flagship educational program, the Astor Academy provides free musical theatre programs and summer camps for children and youth, empowering young people to discover their passion, build confidence, and cultivate a sense of belonging.

Astor History

Built in 1902, the Astor Theatre is Nova Scotia’s oldest continuously running live performance venue. The Astor now encompasses the Astor Theatre and the historic Liverpool Town Hall as the Astor Theatre and Arts Centre. Over the years, the Astor has welcomed renowned touring artists, including The Barra MacNeils, Natalie MacMaster, Mr. Dressup, and the Royal Shakespeare Company.
